Really liking Johnson to go back-to-back. That team has won multiple races in a row many times with momentum. Last fall they had the fastest car in happy hour and qualified on the pole and finished 3rd. Edwards won the race on fuel mileage. His last four finishes at Pocono are 3rd, 6th, 5th, and 42nd.

Also really liking Mark Martin. He's been running very well lately. His last four finishes at Pocono are 8th, 10th, 9th, and 7th. Those are all in DEI cars. Now he's in Hendrick equipment. He had the 2nd fastest car last fall and started 2nd. He lead the most laps.

Stewart will likely be a contender as well. He's been very hot lately and got 2nd at Pocono last fall.

Edwards has started running a little better the last couple races and should be a top 7 car.

If Kahne has found more horsepower like he's shown the past couple weeks he could easily be a top 7 car as well.

Update on Pocono

Qualifying was rained out so field is starting based on owners points. 1st practice was also rained out.

They did get 2nd and 3 practices in.

In the 3rd practice Denny Hamlin and Ryan Newman had the fastest cars on the long runs. Johnson was the 3rd best, Biffle 4th, and Stewart 5th.

Stewart wrecked his primary car in the 1st practice, and used his backup in the 2nd practice. Stewart would normally be starting on the pole but since he's in his backup car, he'll be forced to the back.

The Greek has these lines to win outright:

Johnson 4.5 to 1
Hamlin 6 to 1
Stewart 8.5 to 1
Newman 15 to 1

Obviously the line for Johnson is agressive for many reasons. He did get 3rd here in the fall, and always runs well here. He also won last weekend so he has momentum.

Hamlin had the fastest single lap speed in the final practice and has won here several times in the past. He got 3rd here last Spring and 3rd here in fall of 2007.

Newman looks very fast and is running very well this year. He's starting close to the front and should be a solid top 3 car.

It will take Stewart time to get to the front. He will get there though, it's a long race. Look for him to easily be in the top 5 by the end.

Bodog has the following lines for top 3 finishes

Hamlin 1.75 to 1
Johnson 1.2 to 1
Newman 4.5 to 1
Stewart 2.25 to 1

Newman is a great buy in both because he's getting such huge odds. Johnson is the safest bet for sure. Hamlin has fair lines in both to win and top 3.

My predicited finishing order:

1) Johnson
2) Stewart
3) Hamlin
4) Newman
5) Biffle
6) Edwards
7) Kenseth
8) Kurt Busch

i think kyle will surprise us today, id put him in the top 5 if not top 3. agree with johnson or hamlin winning this race.

I really like this bet, Mears appears fast again this week. He ran solid last weekend.

your top 8 looks pretty good to me....the only one i don't have a positive feel for is biffle

Well I had 4 of the top 8 drivers picked. I would have had my #1 and #2 picks both in top 3 but Johnson ran out of gas coming to the checkers. Edwards ran better than I expected, but knew he would be pretty good. His two previous races to this were showing better results. I think that team is turning a corner finally.

My early prediction is Edwards win at Michigan next week. Stewart #2 and Johnson #3. Kenseth, Vickers, and Biffle will also be top 10 cars. Kyle Busch should be as well.

Kenseth could also shock me and win. He got 5th and 3rd there last year, and did win Fontana earlier this year which is a similar track.
